Add-ons
The on-device parts Slyve downloads once after install, and the optional ones you can add.
Some features need a part that is too big to ship inside the app. Slyve downloads these once, after install. They all run on your Mac.
Every Mac gets
- English captions: clear English captions that keep pauses and spoken fillers.
- Narration voice: speaks your film’s narration on your Mac. You may use it in videos you publish, including for work.
- Text recognition: finds text in your screenshots on your Mac.
They download in the background during the first run while you carry on. The activity bar shows their progress. If you quit part-way, the download picks up where it left off. Offline, it waits and tries again when you are back online.
Optional
- Accurate captions: best in noisy rooms, and many languages. It is a large download, so it is up to you.
Manage add-ons
Open Settings › Add-ons to get, update, pause or remove an add-on. If a feature needs one you do not have, Slyve says so and points you there.
Each add-on shows two sizes: the download, and the space it takes on disk once installed. They differ because the download is compressed and an installed model keeps a little more beside it.
