The Library
Find, open, sort and tidy your recordings, screenshots, shared videos and your assistant's films.
The Library is the first thing you see when Slyve opens. ⌥⇧O brings it to the front from any app.
Collections
The sidebar groups your work:
- Recordings
- Screenshots
- Shared: videos with a share link.
- Assistant films: films your assistant made.
- Recovered, under This Mac: takes saved after a crash.
The chips over the grid filter it: All, Shared, Assistant and Needs attention. Switch between Grid and List beside them.
Open and pick
- Click a card to open it. Press Return, Space or ⌘↓ to open the selected card.
- ⌘-click or ⇧-click to pick several cards without opening them.
- Press F2 to rename the selected card. Return keeps the new name; Esc keeps the old one.
- ⌘A selects every card. Delete, Share and Export act on everything you picked.
- Drag a card out to Finder or another app to drop its file there.
- Find a project searches by name.
- When screenshots are selected, Create video makes them timed scenes in the order shown. See Slides and screenshot movies.
- Title card starts a video with a title card of its own, or with one of your saved templates.
The ⋯ menu
Hover a card for its ⋯ menu: Rename, Duplicate, Export, Share, Show in Finder, Get Info and Move to Trash. Right-click a card for the same menu.
Each card shows its length, when it was last changed and its size. Get Info (or ⌘I) shows the same details in a small panel, with Show in Finder, and for a film Lumi made, its steps and Re-film. The Library also shows background work in its activity bar.
Your files
Each project is a .slyve file on your Mac. Reopen one any time to change the zooms, the look or the trim, and export again. Open project… opens one from anywhere on your Mac. Finder’s Quick Look shows a project poster and summary. See Share an editable project and Open files and commands.
