Open files and use Slyve commands
Open pictures and movies from Finder, preview projects, or start captures from another app with a guarded link.
Open with Slyve
In Finder, use Open With › Slyve Studio on a PNG, JPEG, HEIC or WebP picture, or an MP4 or MOV movie. Slyve copies it into the Library and opens a picture in Annotate or a movie in the editor. The original file stays where it was. Select a .slyve project in Finder and press Space to see its Quick Look poster and summary.
Commands from another app
Turn on Allow slyve:// commands in Settings › Lumi, under Links and other apps. Copy this Mac’s token there and put it in a link from Shortcuts or another app. For example, slyve://screenshot?mode=area&token=YOUR_TOKEN starts an area screenshot. Available commands are record (display, window or area), screenshot (area, window or fullscreen), scrolling, text, open-library and open-project (with id=).
The first command from each app asks for your consent. New token forgets allowed apps and makes old links stop working. Slyve keeps a local command log without the token. slyve://connect opens Agents settings and does not need this switch.
