Slyve Studio Beta

Share an editable project

Send a .slyve file with its recording and edits, and choose what private material travels with it.

A shared .slyve file lets another Slyve user open your recording with its edits, captions and camera settings.

Make a shared copy

Choose File › Share project… in the editor, or Share on a Library card and pick Let someone edit. Choose where to save the file, then send it like any other file.

To paste the project into Mail, a chat or a Finder window, save it or pick AirDrop first. Once Slyve has checked the copy, click Copy as ZIP. Slyve puts the checked file into a ZIP, reads the ZIP back to make sure it is complete, and then copies it to the clipboard.

Check what travels

The shared file includes the recording, so an editable privacy cover alone does not hide what is in the original frames. When Slyve finds covers, turn on Bake covers into the recording to blur those places in the shared copy. This takes longer. Matched covers are baked in their own colour. The receipt says how many covers are fully opaque and how many have not been reviewed. If the take has microphone audio, you can also choose Leave out the original microphone audio.

A shared project opens in Slyve on another Mac. The recipient can edit and export it there. To send a browser link to a finished video, see Share a link.
