Ghost suggestions
Dashed blocks on the timeline suggest edits, such as speeding up typing or trimming silence. Nothing changes until you accept one.
After a take opens, Slyve looks for slow parts and marks them on the timeline as dashed ghost blocks. A ghost is only a suggestion. Nothing changes until you accept it.
Two kinds
- Speed up typing: a long stretch of typing, played faster. The label says how much, for example “Speed up typing 2.4×”. Slow typing gets a bigger speed-up than fast typing.
- Trim silence: a long pause in your microphone, for example “Trim 3.1 s silence”.
Both come from what the take recorded on your Mac.
Accept or dismiss
- ✓ applies the suggestion. Each one is its own undo step.
- ✕ dismisses it. Slyve remembers, and does not suggest it again in this project.
To handle them all at once, use Accept all or Dismiss all in the suggestions pill.
