Slyve Studio Beta

Capture a whole scrolling page

Draw the area that scrolls, scroll it or press Auto-scroll, and get one tall screenshot.

A scrolling capture turns a long page into one tall screenshot.

Take one

  1. Open the capture bar, choose Screenshot, then turn on Scrolling. Or press ⌥⇧A and pick scrolling. Click Scrolling again to go back to a plain screenshot.
  2. Draw the area that scrolls, such as the content of a web page. The capture starts when you let go. Esc during the drag cancels it. To use the area from last time, press Return or choose Capture previous area in the ⚙ menu.
  3. Scroll the page slowly, or press Auto-scroll. Auto-scroll stops by itself at the end of the page. Press Stop to take over.
  4. Press Done to keep the page as a screenshot. Cancel throws it away.

While it runs, a line above the area shows where the page comes from, with Stop capture. A pill below it counts the sections taken.

Tips

  • Scroll at a steady pace. Slyve matches each new section to the last one.
  • Auto-scroll only scrolls the app under the area. Nothing else on your Mac sees it.
  • A very tall page is split into pages when you export it.
